Alvin is a student fellow on the Policy team, where he is researching health outcomes for asthma remediation programs and school-based health centers, working on the Winter Innovation Summit and aggregating data sources for community dashboards.

Prior to joining the Sorenson team, he has competed in the Daniel's Ethics Fund case competition where he consulted on ethical dilemmas in nonprofit management, as well as competing in Cicero's case competition where he presented data-driven solutions to Utah's opioid crisis. 

Outside of Sorenson, Alvin volunteers for a non-profit called Running Forward in which promote and encourage physical and mental healthy living to elementary school students in Title I schools throughout Salt Lake.

Alvin is currently a sophomore at the University of Utah studying Quantitative Analysis with a minor in Computer Science.
