Chance is Principal of University Venture Fund II, a venture capital fund focused on effecting positive social impact within the United States, where he leads activities related to deal sourcing, due diligence and deal structuring. Prior to joining Sorenson, Chance worked for Deloitte where he served Fortune 100 clients in the Aerospace and Defense industry, and he later became director of the Utah-Moldova Business Partnership, an impact-driven 501(c)(3) that consults with and lends capital to small businesses in the Republic of Moldova. He has consulted mission-focused organizations as large as the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and as small as Design.Build.BLUFF, a design architecture non-profit benefiting the Navajo Nation.
Chance is a Certified Public Accountant, and holds a master's degree in business administration from the University of Utah's Eccles School of Business, as well as bachelor's and master’s degrees in accounting from Utah State University's Huntsman School of Business.
