Gretchen is the Senior Consultant at Sorenson Impact, pursuing innovative projects in impact policies, programs, and investments. She was most recently the Pay for Performance Director in the Utah Governor’s Office of Management and Budget (GOMB). In that role, she managed the Utah Pay for Performance transaction associated with high-quality preschools for at risk children. She remains project leader for a feasibility pilot for a Pay for Success initiative addressing recidivism in the state.
Prior to Sorenson, most of her career has been in financial services. She was EVP, Chief Operating Officer of Franklin Templeton Bank, owned by Franklin Templeton Investments, serving private clients. She worked for Goldman Sachs in New York City and opened the Goldman Sachs office in Salt Lake City. She has also served as First Vice President at Morgan Stanley, managing sites in California, Utah, and Florida.
Gretchen has a bachelor’s and master’s degree from the University of Utah. She is a member of the International Women’s Forum, the past president of the Utah Women’s Forum, and a board member at Utah Council for Citizen Diplomacy.
