Meet The Team


Kirsten Anderl

Student Co-Chair

Kirsten is a Sorenson Impact Center Policy Fellow. Her main focus is preparing for the annual Winter Innovation Summit. Kirsten is a senior at Brigham Young University studying International Relations with an emphasis in economic development and a minor in communications. She will graduate in April 2019.

Prior to working at the Center, Kirsten worked as a summer intern in New York City, where she facilitated diplomatic partnerships for LDS Charities by day and saw plenty of Broadway shows by night. She is also a teaching assistant for Macroeconomics and Communications Leadership classes.

Kirsten loves to play soccer, tennis and just about any other sport when she has the time. She is always up for an adventure.


Estefanie Aguilar Padilla

Student Co-Chair

Estefanie Aguilar Padilla is a Sorenson Impact Policy Fellow focusing on financial modeling. She is a fifth-year student at the University of Utah earning two degrees: B.S. in Economics and a B.S. in Ethnic Studies.

Estefanie is committed to expanding access to higher education, which she pursues through her role as Administrative Intern for the University of Utah Prison Education Project. As a McNair Scholar, Estefanie conducted a research project examining the use of prior criminal history questions on undergraduate admissions applications from post-secondary institutions that sponsor College-in-Prison programs. She will join the Research Collaborative on Higher Education in Prison in the Spring of 2019 to further expand her research.

Currently, Estefanie is applying to graduate school where she hopes to pursue a PhD program.


Paige Remington

Student Co-Chair

Paige Remington is a Policy Innovation fellow at Sorenson Impact, focusing on business development, the Social Impact Partnerships to Pay for Results Act (SIPPRA), and co-chairing the Student Coalition for Social Impact which will make its debut at the 2019 Winter Innovation Summit. She is majoring in Health, Society, and Policy and International Studies with minors in Biomedical Engineering and Sociology.

At the University of Utah, Paige is a Career Ambassador at the Career & Professional Development Center, a Student Board Leader at the Bennion Center, and a citizenship tutor at Guadalupe School. Paige is passionate about social policy, human rights advocacy, and public health. She plans to intertwine these sectors throughout her professional career.

In Paige’s free time, she enjoys rock climbing, traveling, reading, and skiing.
